Aici e vila, serviciul, sau mai bine zis locul unde am invatat sa facem covoare.Fotografia a fost facuta atunci cand batranii copaci au fost taiati si pe noi ne-a intristat mult, dar si pe trecatori...
Nostalgie
My name is Hermina Olga Ciobanu and I am a graphic artist.
For 14 years (from 1995 to 2008) I worked as a designer for Berdj Abadjian, founder and owner of Abadjian Collection Inc. based in the United States .
I don't know if you knew him or remember him, even though he left us all five years ago for the carpet heavens .
I have a lot of happy and enriching memories from the time I worked for him, learned from him and spent the time with him, selecting the wool, searching for different patterns and designs, trying to do the things better, to make the perfect rug...
I was the main designer in the Romanian branch of the company. Also, for more than six years I assisted Mr Abadjian in the entire process of carpet manufacturing: taking the order from the clients, designing the carpet, ordering the wool, checking the color palettes and carpet samples, receiving and implementing the client's feedback and checking the final product before sending it to the client.
After Mr Abadjian's death, I worked for a while with some local providers of handknotted or handtufted rugs. I started to study psychology I received a precious gift - a wonderful boy who is now almost three years old. The new life took me slowly away from this wonderful art of carpet design and manufacturing.
I moved to the UK, with my husband and child, at the beginning of this year and I work here as self employed graphic artist. I make handmade wedding invitations, greeting cards. Also I'm selling my paintings. Here is my site: http://www.paintedcards.co.uk/hermina/
Turning to this artist part of my soul I began to feel the joy that I had felt working for Mr Abadjian, this kind carpet poet. So I started to search for the opportunity to work again in this domain of carpet design.
I am now making some designs for a small handtufted rugs company from the UK.
.
I am open to any opportunity to do again a work that it was so enriching and joyful for my soul.
Thank you!
